Production Readiness Review

Know what you built before your customers do.

A senior review of software built with AI tools or a small team: security, data handling, reliability, cost, and whether it will hold up under real use. You get every issue ranked, and a clear plan to fix it.

In short

What is a Production Readiness Review?

A Production Readiness Review is a senior engineering assessment of software before it carries real customers, data, or revenue. Peachity examines the code, infrastructure, security, data handling, and AI behavior, ranks every issue by severity, and gives you a clear plan to fix what matters first.

When to bring us in

Before something real is on the line.

  1. Before launch

You're about to launch, or onboard your first paying customers.

  2. Built with AI tools

The product was built with Cursor, Lovable, Replit, Bolt, or a similar tool.

  3. Sensitive data

It stores customer data, health or financial information, or takes payments.

  4. A security questionnaire

A customer or investor has asked how the product is secured.

  5. Rising problems

Bugs, outages, or cloud costs are growing faster than usage.

  6. Before you hire

You're about to hire developers and want to know what they'll inherit.

What we review

Eight areas where AI-built software usually breaks.

Every review covers the full product. A focused review goes deep on the one area that concerns you most.

  • Authentication and access

Who can sign in, and what each person can see and change.

  • Data isolation

Whether one customer can ever reach another customer's records.

  • Secrets and integrations

API keys, payment and third-party services, and what happens when they fail.

  • Code and dependencies

Structure, maintainability, and the packages the product relies on.

  • AI behavior

Prompts, permissions, and what the model is allowed to do on its own.

  • Reliability

Error handling, recovery, and what users see when something breaks.

  • Testing and deployment

How changes are tested, released, rolled back, and monitored.

  • Infrastructure and cost

Cloud and AI spend, and how it scales as usage grows.

How we review

A scanner can tell you what's in the code. It can't tell you whether the product will hold up.

We follow established security practice, including OWASP guidance for AI applications. Automated tools cover ground quickly, and every significant finding is confirmed by hand. Then we look at what tools can't: whether the architecture will scale, whether the data model fits the business, and whether the product decisions make sense.

What you receive

A report you can act on, and share.

Written for founders, teams, and investors alike. Every finding comes with evidence, a severity, and a recommended fix.

  • A plain-language summary of where the product stands
  • Every issue ranked by severity, with evidence
  • A recommended fix for each finding
  • A plan for what to fix first, next, and later
  • A record of what was reviewed, and how
  • A fixed-price quote for Production Engineering, if you want us to do the work

Scope and pricing

Choose the depth.

Most products need the full review. Choose a focused review when one area is the concern. Every review is fixed-price, agreed before work begins.

  • Focused review

    One area, in depth.

Authentication, payments, data access, or a single AI feature.

    $2,500–$3,500

  • Complex review

    Several systems.

Multiple applications, sensitive integrations, or regulated data.

    From $10,000

A Readiness Review is an expert engineering assessment. If you need a formal penetration test or compliance certification, the report will say so, and we'll help you find the right specialist.

A note from our founder

Senior judgment, a proven method.

Working software and production-ready software are not the same thing. The difference is usually invisible until a customer, an investor, or an attacker finds it.

I founded Peachity after twenty-five years building and leading enterprise software, platforms, and AI systems. Every Readiness Review follows the method we've refined across that work, carried out by senior engineers and led to the same standard.

You'll get a straight answer about what matters, what doesn't, and what we'd fix first if it were our company.

Questions

Readiness Review questions.

What is a Production Readiness Review?

A senior engineering assessment of software before it carries real customers, data, or revenue. Peachity reviews the code, infrastructure, security, data handling, and AI behavior, ranks every issue by severity, and gives you a plan to fix what matters first.

Can you review an app built with Lovable, Cursor, Replit, or Bolt?

Yes. That is one of the most common reasons founders come to Peachity. AI coding tools produce working software quickly, and they also tend to leave the same gaps: data that isn't isolated between customers, keys exposed in the browser, and little handling for failure.

How much does a Production Readiness Review cost?

A focused review of one area is $2,500 to $3,500. A full review of the product is $5,500 to $8,500. Complex products with several systems start at $10,000. The price is fixed and agreed before work begins.

Is a Readiness Review the same as a penetration test?

No. It's a senior engineering review that covers security alongside reliability, cost, and maintainability. If you need a formal penetration test or a compliance certification such as SOC 2, the report will say so, and we'll help you find the right specialist.

What access do you need?

Read access to the code repository, and access to a staging or test environment when one exists. We'll agree on exactly what's needed, and how it's handled, in the proposal.

What happens after the review?

You keep the report and can take it to any team. If you'd like Peachity to do the work, the findings become the scope of a fixed-price Production Engineering engagement.
