In short

What is a fractional CTO?

A fractional CTO is a senior technology leader who works with your company part-time, for a monthly fee, instead of as a full-time executive. At Peachity, your fractional CTO leads your architecture and technology decisions, oversees developers and vendors, sets your AI strategy, and represents the technology to investors and customers.

When founders bring us in

Usually when the stakes turn technical.

  1. Choosing who builds

You're deciding between an agency, freelancers, or AI tools to build the product.

  2. An uncertain prototype

You have a prototype and can't tell whether it was built well.

  3. Hard questions

Investors or customers are asking technical questions you can't answer yet.

  4. First engineering hires

You're about to hire engineers and need someone to define the roles and run the interviews.

  5. Developers without direction

Your developers need priorities, code review, and someone to hold the bar.

  6. Where AI belongs

You need to decide where AI fits in the product, and what it will cost to run.

  7. A team without a technical lead

Your developers are shipping, but no one is setting the technical direction.

  8. A first software product

You run an established business and are launching your first software product.

What your fractional CTO leads

  • Security and launch readiness

Data protection, access, and readiness before customers arrive.

  • Investor and customer diligence

Technical questions, security reviews, and due diligence calls.

How it works

A clear start, then steady leadership.

  1. A first conversation

We talk through the business, the product, and what's been built so far. It's free.

  2. The first month

We review what exists, settle the architecture, and set a technical plan you can explain to anyone.

  3. Every month after

Reserved hours for decisions, oversight, and hands-on work, led by Peachity's founder.

A note from our founder

The technical partner you've been missing.

Building a company without a technical cofounder means making decisions every week that shape the product for years. You shouldn't have to make them alone.

After twenty-five years leading technology and design for enterprise software, platforms, and AI systems, I founded Peachity to be that technical partner. As your fractional CTO, we're in the room for the technical decisions, the hiring calls, and the investor questions.

You get one accountable technical lead, backed by senior engineers and specialists when the work calls for them. No account managers, no rotating consultants.

Questions

Fractional CTO questions.

What is a fractional CTO?

A senior technology leader who works with your company part-time, for a monthly fee. A fractional CTO leads architecture and technology decisions, oversees developers and vendors, and represents the technology to investors and customers, without the cost of a full-time executive.

How much does a fractional CTO cost?

Peachity's Fractional CTO starts at $6,000 a month, and Embedded CTO, for companies with sustained engineering, starts at $10,000 a month. Both begin with a three-month commitment, with hours reserved each month and billed in advance. Larger engineering work is quoted separately as fixed-price Production Engineering.

When does a startup need a fractional CTO instead of a full-time CTO?

When you need senior technical judgment before you can justify, or find, a full-time executive. That is usually before or just after launch, during a first funding round, or when you're hiring your first engineers.

Can you work with my existing agency or developers?

Yes. Many founders bring Peachity in to direct an agency or freelance team: setting priorities, reviewing the work, and making sure what gets built is what the business needs.

Will you write code?

When it's the right use of the time, yes. Hands-on work fits within the monthly hours. Larger builds are scoped as fixed-price Production Engineering so the leadership time stays focused on decisions.

Can you help me hire engineers?

Yes. We define the roles, write the job descriptions, run technical interviews, and help your first hires get productive quickly.
